How to play Number Recall
Number Recall gives you a focused activity to play in your browser. Reproduce each number exactly. A wrong answer ends the current session. Use the example below to understand a decision. Identify the playing area and the controls you need. Check the relevant rule before repeating a move.
Read before acting
Read one step at a time and try it on the playing area. Match the instruction to the control you use. Refer to the controls when needed.
Your goal
Reproduce each number exactly. A wrong answer ends the current session. The feedback beside the game helps you follow the round. Check the rules when you are unsure.
Step by step
- Select Start again to begin.
- Memorise the displayed number without entering it yet.
- After it disappears, type the number into the answer field.
- Choose Check number; a correct answer opens the next round.
Controls
Use the on-screen controls with a mouse or touch. Use the control method described here for this activity. Check any mode label before starting.
A useful example
If the number is 3072, enter all four digits in order. Entering 372 misses the zero. Your next round may have a different position, so inspect it before acting. Notice the change in the playing area.
Watch out for this
This is a memory game, not a clinical assessment. Read the feedback to see why an action did not have the expected result. Before your first action, say what you are trying to achieve. Then compare the result with the goal.
