How to play Pyramid Solitaire

Read the aim of Pyramid Solitaire, then make your first move. Remove all 28 pyramid cards. Use the example below to understand a decision. Choose a comfortable screen position before beginning. Choose a clear next step rather than rushing through the instructions.

Pyramid, stock and waste; one stock recycle. Free solo play, no wagering.

Notice the feedback

Watch the feedback after an action. A message can explain whether the input was accepted or whether a rule needs attention. Use the example to check your reasoning.

Your goal

Remove all 28 pyramid cards. Read that aim before choosing your first action. Review the board or playing area as it changes.

Step by step

  1. Only uncovered cards are selectable. Pairs total 13; a king removes alone.
  2. Click an exposed card or eligible pair to remove it.
  3. Draw when useful.
  4. Undo reverses a choice. New deal shuffles again.

Controls

Click or tap cards and piles. Wide tableaus scroll inside the game; use Undo, Hint and New deal where shown. A careful first action helps you become familiar with the layout. Return to the rules if the result is unexpected.

A useful example

An exposed queen pairs with an ace; a jack pairs with a 2. Apply the same reasoning to the position in your own round. Choose a deliberate next step.

Watch out for this

Random deals are not guaranteed solvable. A hint is a legal move, not a winning strategy. A different version of the game may use a different rule. Keep the stated aim separate from side details such as animation or appearance. Progress is measured by the game’s own completion or scoring rules.
